Ron Dye is currently an associate professor at DePauw University where he teaches creative writing and theatre arts. He has worked professionally as a musician, actor, stage director and playwright, and he has been involved with numerous not-for-profit arts groups both as an employee and a board member. He was a founding board member of Stories, Inc., based in Indianapolis, and the Lotus Festival in Bloomington, IN, and he worked for the Bloomington Area Arts Council as Technical Director of the John Waldron Arts Center, was the Artistic Director of the Bloomington Playwrights Project, and was the Executive Director of the Indiana Theatre Association. He also served as Chair of the New Play Program for Region VI of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Dye has worked as a stage actor throughout Indiana and in Chicago. For the last four years Ron has devoted most of his creative energies into songwriting, and he plans to record an album of original songs in the near future.
